ABOUT THIS PLAY

☀️
"Schroeder-Lowrey is radiant in the pivotal role of the anonymous columnist. Even her rapt silences brim with palpable presence, love and compassion. She makes every poetic word count as another pearl of wisdom about life, loss, relationships, trauma and renewal."

– Michael Grossberg, Columbus Dispatch

A moving play about the endangered art of listening, caring, and connecting.

When a struggling writer (Cheryl Strayed) takes over the unpaid, anonymous position of advice columnist “Sugar,” she guides an assortment of seekers over obstacles large and small. With the writer’s own experiences as a source of caution and courage, the column blossoms into a heartfelt embodiment of empathy.

Tiny Beautiful Things is a play about reaching when you’re stuck, healing when you’re broken, and taking on the questions which can never be answered.

🎉
"It is rooted in a credo of joy snatched from agony, of 'radical serenity' and equally radical honesty with oneself. It is a celebration of the big picture, as well as 'the ordinary miraculous' that can come out of nowhere, to make life livable."

– Misha Berson, Seattle Times
